From the impact of the HPV vaccine on cervical cancer rates to a new 3-drug treatment for Hepatitis C, Sound Medicine's Jill Ditmire reports this week's Health News Headlines.

According to Dr. Paul Kwo of the IU School of Medicine, the new Hepatitis C treatment could lead to fewer cases of liver cancer. "Transplantation is going to change, because we’re going to be curing the Hepatitis," he said. "So, I think overall, from a global health perspective this is going to really help the health care community that we all practice in."

Dr. Paul Kwo is a professor of medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
