Frank Ferris, M.D., director of International Programs at The Institute for Palliative Medicine at San Diego Hospice, a teaching affiliate of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, discusses how death and dying are changing, thanks to shifts in medical care. Joanne Harvey, M.S.W., hospice social worker, grief counselor and author of 'Dying to Live: Embracing the Journey,' discusses how family members and loved ones can have a conversation about entering hospice. Anna Boiko-Weyrauch, producer of, ‘When a Doctor Meets a Soul,” shares her father’s unusual encounter with a dying patient.
