Dr Alan Fleischman discusses the new prevalence of whooping cough. He says that in the U.S., there are as many as three million cases per year, mostly in adults and adolescents. In these cases, the disease is not serious. The problem is that these individuals carry the disease to young children, who can die from the disease.
