So when Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, a Republican, remained vague on details of how the state would react to the Senate's Affordable Care Act Replacement plan—and it's subsequent cuts to Medicaid, Kelly uncovered state proposals of how to recoup lost funds inside a presentation from the National Governor's Association Meeting earlier this month.
The lowdown: under the Senate's plan, Indiana would lose nearly $5 billion in Medicaid funding, receiving 14 percent less than what it's allotted under current law.
According to the presentation, raising taxes, creating work requirements for entitlements and cutting provider reimbursements could help the state fill the hole, among other proposals. Read about them all here.
