Holly Edgell
Project Manager, Side Effects Public MediaHolly Edgell is project manager for Side Effects Public Media. She joined the team in July 2020 after leading a four-station radio collaborative on race, identity and culture called Sharing America based at St. Louis Public Radio. Edgell has been a journalist for more than 20 years, having worked in television newsrooms on broadcast and digital teams. She also has been a journalism professor at the Missouri School of Journalism and Florida A&M University. In addition, she launched 12 hyper-local news websites in the St. Louis for Patch.com. Edgell earned her bachelor's degree in journalism at Michigan State University and her master's degree in journalism at Kent State University, focusing on media management. Born in Belize, Edgell traveled the world with her family growing up through her parents' overseas work. She continues to have the travel bug! Edgell can be reached at hedgell@wfyi.org.
